Big congratulations to Jai McDowall who won the Britain’s Got Talent final on Saturday night.

The winning performance saw Jai sing Josh Groban’s ‘To Where You Are’, which received a great response from the judges and audience alike- I enjoyed the performance but I was a little surprised that Jai won the competition.

The shock result saw Jai beat the hot favourite, 12 year old Ronan Parke to the top and squashed any ‘fix vote’ claims. Ronan who sang beautifully came second, closely followed by boy band New Bounce who placed 3rd in the competition.

Musical acts were clearly the viewer’s favourite after other performances fell a little flat. I was slightly disappointed with impressionist Les Gibson whose previous performances were brilliant. However, he failed to pull off an impression of Simon Cowell on Saturday’s show which led to disappointment.

Winner Jai McDowall will perform in front of HRH the Queen at the Royal Variety Show. Congratulations!

  1. I really liked Les Gibson as well, but his Simon Cowell impression was a bit odd, it didn’t sound anything like him. If he’d got that perfect or not done it all, he might have won.
However, the real winner of the show for me was Razy the Matrix dancer, who was breathtaking in my opinion!
