hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2011

It’s another great week for gardening fans as the famous Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is now open.

This year’s show will be Hampton Courts 22nd year with the RHS. The event opened on Tuesday 5th July and runs until Sunday 10th July. Lucky visitors will be greeted with beautifully designed gardens, new plants and go home with endless ideas for their own gardens.

Although I won’t be making this year at Hampton Court, I would have loved to see the RHS Grow Your Own section of this year’s show. Designed to show visitors how easy and colourful growing you own fruit and veg can be in the garden, this section of the show is entirely edible. A great feature, which I am sure lots of people will appreciate and take ideas from.

My main reason for missing out on these truly British events (I missed the Chelsea Flower show earlier this year too) is not planning ahead. To avoid more disappointment I have taken the plunge and joined the RHS membership club (join now and you get 3 months free- bargain). Being a member I will receive updates, gardening help and advice and crucially ticket information for up and coming RHS events.

I’d love to know if you were lucky enough to go to the Hampton Court Palace Flower show- let me know your thoughts.
