Yesterday we saw the Queen and Prince Phillip visited the royal barge Gloriana in London as preparation for the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant get underway.  Delighted with the royal barge the royal couple set off to South Wales this morning to complete the welsh leg of the Diamond Jubilee Tour of the UK.

The Queen arrived in Cardiff via train before been whisked away for a special service of thanksgiving at Llandaff Cathedral which appeared to be a lovely welcome to Wales. This afternoon she will visit Margam Country Park and meet with school pupils in Merthyr Tydfil.

The Queen has received a wonderful reception in Wales from those who are excited about Diamond Jubilee celebration and seems to be really enjoying her tour of the UK. During the next couple of weeks she’s expected to visit areas of the south west of England- something to look forward to if you’re in the area.

Check out the full list of town and cities which the Queen will be visiting here.
